Meet the Cast
 |
Mike
Bishop — emcee, vocals, producer
Mike has entertained since his
early teens. Growing up in northeast Arkansas not
far from Memphis, he was influenced by country, rock
n roll, blues and gospel music. He moved to the
Ozarks just after high school and began working as
an entertainer at Dogpatch USA theme park near
Harrison. From there he has spent the last 32 years
entertaining people on vacation in the Ozarks, as
well as on the road, having performed in 43 states.
Most of Mike's road years consisted of touring with
the MIKE BISHOP & SWEET N' SASSY SHOW, which
featured his lovely wife Dale, and their high energy
showband. |

Dale
Bishop — vocalist
Dale was born in Oklahoma City then lived in
Texas before her family moved to Arkansas in her
pre-teens. She performed at Dogpatch USA theme park,
and later with the Ozark Opry show in Osage Beach,
Missouri before starting a long career with husband
Mike. After some time off, she's back on the stage
and loving every minute of it! Dale is also
responsible for theater merchandising and costuming
of the show. |

Scott
Dewbre — comedy, saxophone, guitar, vocals
Scott performed with the Single
Tree Band out of Oklahoma for sixteen years. During
that time they opened for, or performed with 75
major acts; won the Oklahoma Wrangler Country
Showdown in 1985; placed 4th nationally out of
151,000 acts; and sang on two charted billboard
records. He spent 6 years with the Ozark Mountain
Hoedown in Eureka Springs and worked with the Mike
Bishop & Sweet n Sassy show for three years. He is very proud
of his 7 children and all of his grandchildren. |

Kenneth "Buster" Sharp — guitar, bass, steel guitar,
vocals
Buster has had a colorful
career having performed with many country artists.
He's our band leader at the Jamboree and also sings
with our gospel pre-show. You might have seen Buster
performing in Branson, with a recording act or here
at the Jamboree over the past several seasons. He's
a very positive guy who is a real asset to the band.

Acra
Turner — piano and vocals
Acra, a name from the Bible,
exemplifies our newest performer's upbringing and
his gospel roots. Born and raised in Richmond,
Virginia, Acra excelled in sports, played college
football and basketball, and later coached
basketball. He has always loved to play piano and
sing in church. His love of the Lord and his fellow
man comes through with every note and we feel
blessed to have such a fine musician and gentleman
in the group. |

John Walter
Morrison — drums, guitar, vocals
Walt is a great addition to the
show. Before coming to the Pine Mountain Jamboree,
Walt performed at several venues in Branson,
Missouri, including the Dixie Stampede. He is a solid drummer, a great feature
vocalist and harmony singer. He lives in Branson now
where he has performed at several venues including
the Dixie Stampede. Walt entertained our troops in
Korea, Japan, Germany, Greenland, Iceland, Norway,
Turkey, Spain Greece, and Saudi Arabia. |

Steve
Bush — banjo, mandolin, guitar
Steve, a native of
Bartlesville, Oklahoma now resides in Eureka Springs
and has entertained in the Ozarks for years. He has
worked with the Paul Harris Show, Clay Cooper's
Country Express, The Rodney Dillard Show and others
in Branson, Missouri, as well as theaters in Eureka
Springs. He is a very accomplished musician, is a
four time national banjo pickin' champion and was
honored to perform in prestigious Carnegie Hall in
New York City. |
